How do you out-pitch the fashion establishment to define a designer’s olfactory identity?

Insight

Jasper Conran’s move into the fragrance category required a visual language that translated his ‘master of tailoring’ positioning into a sensory brand experience. Scott Parker led the pitch against the Art Director of Vogue and leading London fashion agencies like Saturday. By aligning market intelligence with Jasper’s raw aesthetic, we won the work and built a premium perfume marketing strategy that defined the global identity of the brand.

How did the designer fragrance brand identity semiotically strengthen the scent’s notes?

Working closely with Jasper Conran and The Fragrance Factory in Knightsbridge, we envisioned a classic luxury scene using the semiotic weight of Dorney Court with photographer Tim Bret Day. The Tudor estate’s ancient timber and moss-covered stone provided a visual parallel to the scent’s Oakmoss and Guaiac Wood base notes. We designed and shipped a suite of print ad design and press assets featuring bespoke tapestry fabrics created specifically for the set. This creative direction was so definitive that the imagery remains the foundation of the brand’s packaging today.
